Information BarHop collects
- Account details such as name, email address, role, and profile information you choose to add.
- Location data when you allow it, so BarHop can rank nearby venues, map results, and alerts around where you are.
- Photos, posts, venue details, happy hour information, and other content you upload or submit.
- Device, browser, build, and diagnostic details used to troubleshoot bugs, secure the service, and improve reliability.
- Notification registration details if you enable push notifications.
- Payment and billing status information for paid features, if those features are used.
How BarHop uses information
- To create and maintain user accounts.
- To show nearby venues, bartenders, happy hours, and related discovery results.
- To publish or display content that users choose to contribute to the platform.
- To send alerts, operational messages, and optional notifications users turn on.
- To monitor abuse, investigate issues, and protect the security of the service.

How information may be shared
- Public or community-facing content may be visible to other BarHop users when you choose to publish it.

Location, photos, and notifications
- Location access is optional, but some nearby ranking and map features work better when it is enabled.
- Photos and media you upload are used to support your profile, venue, drink, and happy hour content.
- Push notifications are optional and can be managed in your device settings and in BarHop notification preferences where available.
Data retention
BarHop keeps information for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security and audit records. Cached copies may temporarily remain on user devices until refreshed or cleared.

BarHop is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not intended for children.
